Apple Corps, owner Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, John Lennon's widow, Yoko Ono, and the estate of George Harrison, is suing Apple Computer for a third time.
The trial has already begun in London's High Court. Apple Corps is contending that Apple Computer has crossed the line into the music business with iTunes which violates their past agreements.
Anthony Grabiner, lead counsel for Apple, in his opening statement on Thursday, argued that the iTunes Music Store is primarily a data transmission service. He stated that "data transmission is within our field of use".
