Adobe jumping into Ajax bandwagon

Posted by Harsha

Adobe is planing to jump into Ajax bandwagon and gone ahead with launch of free pre-release version of the Spry Ajax framework. The main purpose is make Ajax programming easier and much friendler for web designers.

Google has already developed a bulk of their web applications in Ajax like GMail, Google Calendar, Page Creator, Google Maps. Yahoo has Flickr and Maps service also use of Ajax technology.

Unlike other frameworks Adobe Spry lets Web designers create Ajax based web pages without learning this new language. Spry can be integrated with Macromedia, Dreamweaver, Adobe Golive or any other HTML authoring tool.

Spry can incorporate XML into HTML documents using technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Flex support will be integrated in the final release. A web designer can also view the source of a page built using Spry and quickly and easily and go further customize it.
