eBay AdContext allows websites to place links to eBay online auctions and receive commission when a click on the site converts into a sale. The eBay ads will be available in Text-only, Image-and-text and Macromedia Flash formats.

eBay Ads system is a contextual advertising program which means it will scan the content of a Web site and automatically return relevant eBay ad content. These are targeted ads like Google Adsense that will deliver ads relevant to the content of the webpage and as a result it increase reader interest and that results in higher click through.
eBay AdContext was developed using eBays keyword selection technology, which uses proprietary eBay data to match contextual eBay ads to the Web page. The contextual ads take into account the popularity of certain keywords on eBay, not just the keywords on a given Web site, making them relevant to what people are actually shopping for on eBay.
Developers can use its new API which returns eBay keywords based on the ranking and categories for a specified Web page to create applications that may be different from traditional contextual ad serving.
eBay AdContext is not available to the public now. If you are running Google Adsense or Yahoo ads on your site, you need to check with them as you cannot run other contextual ads on the same page with adsense or YPN as per their tos.
