Windows Vista is now available as a free download on Microsoft site. This trail software version will expire on June 1, 2007 so we have have an year to play around with this new OS without buying it.
The Good news is that you can safely try Windows Vista Beta 2 by having dual-boot with Windows XP. So that your XP still be intact and also your programs settings and data files.
In order to setup WindowsXP system into dual-boot Vista mode, you require a partitioning utility like PartitionMagic to create a new Windows Vista partition on your hard disk. Once the partion is created then you can install vista on this newly created partion by booting from the Windows Vista Boot DVD.
